Strategies for Successful Teams
To be productive, new or evolving
teams must determine what it takes to work together effectively.
Aligning individual needs and interests with business requirements
are fundamental to the team’s success.
This one-day workshop provides
newly established or existing teams with the tools and methods to
create or enhance the framework for working together effectively to
achieve business results. Team members will participate in
discussions comprising a variety of topics, assessment tools, and
exercises that include characteristics of effective teams, phases of
team development, group dynamics and their impact on team
performance, and techniques for effective communication. Depending
on a group's objectives, the workshop may culminate with
participants developing team norms or creating a team vision,
mission, and goals. |
Team Development with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®)
Innate differences in the way we and others
process information, make decisions, handle problems, and deal with
the world in general can contribute to or detract from effective
team relationships. The MBTI® fosters appreciation of those
differences and how they can be leveraged for team success.
In this workshop, team members
explore the MBTI®'s concept of "natural preferences." After
receiving their individual MBTI® profile reports, participants will
examine the overall team results and how the interaction of
preferences inherent in each profile can contribute to the team's
effectiveness. A series of activities illustrating the attributes
and value of each preference and types within the group will help
team members improve the way they communicate, make decisions, and
solve problems to achieve common goals. The course length ranges
from a half day to a full day, depending on the depth and breadth in
which the content is explored. |
